The area boasts a wide range of activities for all the family, whether you choose mountain biking, rafting, climbing or hiking. Nearly half the village is located in the Vanoise National Park, where you can often spot the local wildlife including Marmots, Chamois and Ibex or alternatively admire the fantastic views. With over 20 marked routes, including the path up to the ‘Eye of the Needle’, Tignes is an ideal terrain for walkers and hikers. A walk into the Reserve Naturelle de Tignes, a protected area for flora and fauna is a must.
The more adventurous may enjoy the wide range of adrenaline activities in Tignes, including white water swimming, Via Ferrata or climbing. You may wish to have a go on the ‘Crazy Airbag’ or alternatively visit ‘Acroland’, which boasts a series of jumps and shoots into Tignes Le Lac.
