Ski season over? That’s what you think!
The arrival of the summer doesn’t mean the end for all of France’s ski areas and there is something strangely appealing about skiing all morning only to bask in glorious sunshine or ride dusty bike trails all afternoon.
From June to September you can hone your skills on a small selection of pistes and practice your finest freestyle moves on two of France’s highest glaciers.
Please note that glaciers are normally only open in the mornings for summer skiing and snowboarding in an effort to best preserve the snow conditions but, fear not, there isn’t a chance of getting bored in the afternoons!

Our staff favourite for a spot of time on the snow in the summer months is Les Deux Alpes.  The glacier opens from 7.15am to 12.30pm (times may vary) and there are 8 pistes (4 blue, 2 green and 2 red) and the freestyle park available to you.
Enjoy the fantastic location of Residence Alpina Lodge, just a short walk to the main lift to take you towards the glacier.
